Our Philosophy
At WAO Early Learning, we take pride in our small and distinctive centres. We value each child as a unique individual and believe in their capabilities as confident learners. Our curriculum is designed to enhance every child's learning and developmental outcomes, encompassing aspects such as their identity, community connections, well-being, confidence as learners, and communication skills. In our secure, friendly, and nurturing environment, we encourage each child to reach their full potential. Our approach revolves around child-centred learning, which is facilitated through staff provocations, carefully planned experiences, and spontaneous activities that take into account the voices of our community as a whole.
We prioritise the development of self-confidence by ensuring that every child's voice is heard, respected, and given the freedom to make choices. We provide individualised care and protection while gently guiding them throughout their journey at WAO Early Learning. We embrace diversity in all its forms and promote cultural awareness. Our approach includes offering spontaneous, interest-driven, and educational experiences that allow children to learn while having fun. Through these opportunities, we encourage discovery and aim to instil a lifelong love for learning. We also strive to foster the children's understanding of and care for the environment, including green and renewable energy.
Recognising our role in supporting children as effective communicators, active learners, and individuals who feel connected to their world, we align our centres and the professional philosophies of our educators. By creating a sense of belonging for each child, we believe they will feel free to embrace their true selves and become something wonderful.
Our top priority is meeting the needs of the children, their families, and our staff to the highest standards possible.
I have been working in childcare for over 17 years and have been with WAO ELC for more than 5 years. I have my Diploma in Children’s Services, and I am currently studying my Bachelor of Teaching 0-5 years through Charles Sturt University.
I have a passion for Early Childhood Education, and supporting our amazing team of educators as we strive for excellence in Early Childhood Education.
We are passionate about nurturing the well-being of every child and encouraging them on their learning journey. I consider it a huge privilege to be allowed to have been part of so many children’s lives. They are all special and unique, bringing joy to those of us who work with them.I have passion and genuine interest in school readiness and for providing environments and experiences that encourage a successful transition to school through fun play based learning, intentional teaching and following children's interests.
I look forward to showing you through our centre and building a great relationship with yourself and your child.
